If you are looking for a way to enhance your basketball skills this summer, then you don’t want to miss out of the 1st Annual Rebecca “Bec” Harris Girls Basketball Camp June 18-20 at the Illinois Hoopville Athletic Center, located at 1901 Mascoutah Ave, Belleville, IL 62220. This camp is for athletes ages 8-17 and cost $55 per participant. Rebecca recently returned from Poland where she played for Energa. Camp times: June 18 and 19 – 9 AM to 4 PM and June 20 – 9 AM to 1 PM.
The St. Louis Surge Women’s Pro Basketball Team will celebrate their 2014 National Championship at their 2015 Celebration of Champions event on Friday, April 24, 2015, on the rooftop of BallPark Village at Budweiser Brewhouse Deck, located at 601 Clark Ave. in St. Louis, MO. The event will begin with a VIP private reception at 5:30 PM for Power Surge Supporters and sponsors, with the party beginning at 6:30 PM for season ticket holders.
The celebration is an exclusive event for 2015 season ticket holders, sponsors, and supporters and will feature the unveiling of the 2015 National Championship rings at 7:15 PM, as well as announce and introduce the 2015 Surge roster.
Surge Owner and General Manager, Khalia Collier, was among 20 young and talented African-American professionals to be honored with the Young Leaders Award. The award was given by a recommendation of Khalia’s peers and was awarded at the Four Seasons hotel in in St. Louis this past Thursday, February 19.
The St. Louis Surge family will be forced to say good-bye to a key member of the 2014 championship squad. Hannah Weedman will depart this Wednesday, February 18 for Australia to continue her basketball career with the Latrobe City Pacers.

Your St. Louis Surge are the winners of the 2014 Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL) National Championship, which was played on Sunday, August 3, 2014. The Surge beat Auburn 81 – 69. On Saturday, August 2, 2014, the Surge defeated Fayetteville, 89-54, in the quarterfinals and Dade County, 83-80, in the semifinals to reach the championship game.
The St. Louis Surge finished the 2014 season with a 14-1 record and also took home the 2014 Mid-West Regional Championship.
