The St. Louis Surge Women’s Semi-Professional Basketball Team will take on the Atlanta Tarheelsin its 2013 Home Opener, sponsored by Ameren Missouri, on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 7:05 p.m. During half time, pioneers in women’s sports will be honored including: Kristin Folkl, Neil Ivy and Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Honorees will receive the St. Louis Surge Power House Legend Award. The game will take place at the University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL) Mark Twain Center located at One University Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63121. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door: adults $8, students (with current high school student I.D.) $5, free for children age 5 and under, and free for those in team uniforms.
