LaDazhia Williams, a Louisiana State University graduate, signed to play with the St. Louis Surge for the 2023 season. Williams was a member of the LSU team where she helped her team win the 2023 NCAA National Championship. 

Prior to her championship season at LSU, the Florida native also played at the University of Missouri and the University of South Carolina. At Mizzou, Williams averaged 9.1 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per game. She was ranked ninth on Mizzou’s all time list in field goal percentage shooting 54.3%. Her single season shooting percentage ranked second in the SEC and ninth nationally. She also averaged 1.2 blocks per game which ranked eighth in the SEC.

After her collegiate career, Williams was drafted into the WNBA in the second round by the Indiana Fever.

In High School, Williams played at Lakewood Ranch where she was ranked the 12th best forward in the nation. ESPNW also ranked her No.48 overall in 2017. She was selected Florida Association of Basketball Coach’s Player of the Year twice and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune Player of the Year. She also achieved first team All-State three times. She was the Lakewood Ranch all time leading scorer and rebounder and led her team to a state title game which was the best season finish in program history.
