The St. Louis Surge partnered with United Hoops of America on Saturday, April 21 at Parkway West High School for the 2012 Arch Challenge Boys and Girls Basketball Tournament.
The Arch Challenge provided a venue for the St. Louis Surge to lead a free skills and drills clinic with approximately 50 kids during the Arch Challenge Tournament. Surge players and coaches taught the athletes various drills and plays including zig-zag defense, dribbling drills and shooting drills as well as lay-up techniques.
All participants had the opportunity to play a game of knock out, which led to a knock out battle of the champions. Surge players handed out medals, took pictures with the kids and gave away free tickets to 2012 Surge basketball games along with one season pass.
