(OMAHA, NE) The St. Louis Surge women’s professional basketball franchise fell to 1-1 on the season with a 93-85 setback to the Nebraska Strikers Saturday night at Grace University.

(ST. LOUIS, MO) Saturday’s season opener for the St. Louis Surge featured new uniforms, new players and new aspirations.

All three were put into play in the women’s professional basketball franchise’s 97-48 victory over Missouri Arch Angels at Harris Stowe State University.

The St. Louis Surge Women’s Professional Basketball Team is excited to announce their partnership as a community empowerment partner with Girls in the Know, a St. Louis based nonprofit organization that educates and empowers mothers and their pre-teen daughters while encouraging positive decisions and healthy behaviors as girls mature into adulthood. The partnership will provide the St. Louis Surge an opportunity to support members of Girls in the Know through leadership, mentorship and community engagement and outreach activities that inspire youth to take charge of their lives.
