Be Involved - Volunteer!

As a leading and new women’s semi-professional basketball team in the St. Louis area, the Surge works side-by-side with our collaborating partners to make sure that all parties has the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive as a team. To carry through our mission and vision the Surge relies on support from members, volunteers and community leaders.

When you are involved with Surge, you help bring about change not only for the team but for the community with an impact of social change. Whether you want to learn a specific skill set, volunteer or give back to the community, your involvement with the Surge will positively impact those in the St. Louis community.

The following are a list of positions and duties we need filled for the 2014 season:

• Crowd Volunteer

  • This person is responsible for getting the crowd involved including but not limited to: announcing door prize winners, involving Surge Kids Club members, throwing give-a-ways to the crowd, etc.

• Concession Worker(s)

  • Responsible for running the concession stand at all Surge home games.

     

• Hospitality Suite Coordinator

  • Responsible for coordinating and accommodating the hospitality suite for sponsors, pass holders and Surge employees.

• Promotions

  • Responsible for setting up promotional booths with Surge paraphernalia to sell to fans.

• Stats Keeper
  

  • Responsible for all player stats during games. This person must have a clear understanding of basketball and have had prior stat-keeping experience or be .

• Time Keeper
  

  • Responsible for working the time clock during games.

• Team Manager
  

  • Responsible for assisting the team in any way possible including but not limited to: providing water and towels during timeouts, helping with equipment, assisting coaches etc.

• Admissions

  • Responsible for ticket booths during all home games; selling season tickets, family season passes, and admissions to all surge home games and community events.
