Rebounds and fast breaks were the name of the game for the Surge during the home opener. The St. Louis Surge dominated on the boards to defeat the Atlanta Tarheels 92-65 on Saturday, May 4, 2013, in front of a crowd of over 2,000 fans at the University of Missouri – St. Louis.
Angela Lewis, educator, coach and author of “The Game Changing Assist: Six Simple Ways to Choose Success,” will share the release of her new novel through a book signing at the St. Louis Surge Home Opener on Saturday, May 4, 2014, at the University of Missouri – St. Louis beginning at 6:00 PM.
The St. Louis Surge Women’s Semi-Professional Basketball Team will take on the Atlanta Tarheelsin its 2013 Home Opener, sponsored by Ameren Missouri, on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 7:05 p.m. During half time, pioneers in women’s sports will be honored including: Kristin Folkl, Neil Ivy and Jackie Joyner-Kersee. Honorees will receive the St. Louis Surge Power House Legend Award. The game will take place at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) Mark Twain Center located at One University Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63121. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the door: adults $8, students (with current high school student I.D.) $5, free for children age 5 and under, and free for those in team uniforms.
