The undefeated St. Louis Surge Women’s Semi-Professional Basketball Team will take on the Missouri Arch Angels in their last home game of the 2013 season, which is themed Energizer Day. The game will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 7:05 p.m. at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) Mark Twain Center located at One University Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63121.
Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. Admission to Energizer Day will be FREE before 7:00 p.m. All attendees who arrive after 7:00 p.m. will be required to pay general admission prices: adults $8, students (with current high school student I.D.) $5, free for children five and under, and free for those in team uniforms. FREE tickets to Energizer Day can be downloaded at Eventbright.com, www.stlsurgebasketball.com and Facebook. All fans will be given a FREE Energizer Promotional Bag (while supplies last). Also, there will be a special guest appearance by the Energizer Bunny. Fans who arrive after 7:00 PM will only be granted admission if they have download their ticket from Eventbrite.

The Saint Louis Surge is a member of the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL), a semi-professional woman’s league, which consists of 46 teams from cities across the United States. The mission of the St. Louis Surge Women’s Semi-Professional Basketball Team is to become role models and act as mentors in the St. Louis community while fostering a team of sportsmanship, teamwork and excellence. The focus of the program is to promote sport participation and provide players the opportunity to transition into the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) or international professional basketball leagues.
About Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League
The WBCBL’s mission is to provide highly competitive basketball for women age 20 and older. Players in the league include former college players, former National Women’s Basketball League (NWBL) and Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) players, and current international professional players. The WBCBL acts as a primary Farm/Recruiting league for the WNBA. The WBCBL’s strong networking relationship with professional international basketball scouts and agents increase the opportunity for players to move on to higher-level professional jobs.
