The St. Louis Surge Women’s Semi-Professional Basketball Team will host the Experience the Evolution Season Launch Party to kick off the 2014 inaugural season on Friday, May 2, 2014, from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the Ramada Plaza Hotel – St. Louis Downtown Convention Center, located at 811 North 9th Street St. Louis, MO 63101.
The celebration will feature an opportunity to meet, greet and network with area standout athletes that have joined the 2014 roster, new coaching staff, as well as participate in fun activities. The event is included with the purchase of a 2014 Season Pass for $49.99. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door. Guests must be age 21 or older to attend and should RSVP.

The Saint Louis Surge is a member of the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL), which is a semi-professional woman’s league that consists of 50 member teams from major cities across the United States. The mission of the St. Louis Surge Women’s Semi-Professional Basketball Team is to be role models and act as mentors in the St. Louis region while fostering a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork and excellence of athletic excellence.
About WBCBL
This mission of the Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL) is to provide highly competitive basketball for women age 20 and older. The competition level ranges from former college players to former National Women’s Basketball League (NWBL), Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) and current international players. In addition, the WBCBL has built a networking relationship with professional international basketball scouts and agents to broaden the possibility of higher-level professional jobs being offered. The WBCBL acts as a primary Farm/Recruiting league for the WNBA.
