The 23-point duke in Women’s Blue Chip Basketball League (WBCBL) play netted the Surge their second straight win. A dominant 27-15 push in the fourth quarter was pivotal in the triumph.

After the Surge possessed a 24-19 lead at the conclusion of the first quarter, a tight 24-23 second stanza that favored St. Louis extended their lead to 48-42 at intermission.

With an 18-13 winning result in the third quarter, St. Louis pushed the score to 66-55 heading into the final frame.

The aforementioned, plus-12 point output in the final quarter resulted in the Surge’s 93-70 win.

St. Louis launches their home campaign at Washington University this upcoming Saturday with a re-match against WBCBL Midwest Division rival Midwest Flyers Elite. In the season opener between the pair in May, the Elite claimed a 90-80 victory to claim an early edge in the divisional standings.

A season split is the missive for the locals next weekend and a vocal contingent is welcomed at the Wash U Field House for the 7:05 p.m. showdown.

A five-game season package that includes VIP chair back seating, hospitality suite access with free food, admission to a pair of Surge parties and other amenities is available for $120 by GOING TO THIS LINK.

Single game tickets at the door are $10 for adults, $8 for students with ID and free for children five and under.
