The St. Louis Surge will travel across the state to face off against KC Crossover in Kansas City. The matchup on July 15 will be the second time these two teams play each other this season. 

The first time these teams faced each other, the Surge won 96 to 55 where rookie guard, Jade Loville, led the charge for St. Louis.

Loville came away with 33 points, making 13 of the 19 shots she took. She was also 6 for 10 from three point range. She is currently leading the Surge averaging 19.7 points per game. Forward Emmonnie Henderson is the second leading scorer with 12.7 points per game. Henderson also leads in rebounds, averaging 9.3 per game.

St. Louis had to cancel their last matchup against the Windy City Lady Ballers. Coming off of two weeks with no play, they will be looking for another victory after a long break. 

KC Crossover will be looking for their first win after a 101 to 61 defeat to Wisconsin Glo and a 0-6 start to the season.

In their last match up against the Surge, TrEl’Shawn Smith scored in double digits for the first time in her professional career with the KC Crossover. She finished as the top scorer for Kansas City with 17 points.

 De’Jionae Calloway put up a double double against St. Louis with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Calloway is leading the team in points and rebounds this season with an average of 10.8 points per game and 9.4 rebounds per game. 

Tip off for the game on Saturday is at 6 p.m. The game will be at the Kansas City Elite Basketball Academy located at 500 N. Main Street Independence, MO.
