The St. Louis Surge will add Butler University graduate Rachel McLimore to its roster for the 2023 season. McLimore is a 5’10” player who is able to play in the front and back court.
The Indiana native started in every game her senior year with Butler. She was ranked 6th in the Big East in three point shooting percentage. She made 42 three pointers out of 107 attempts (39.3%). She also led Butler in points per game averaging 11 points along with 2.4 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game. She was the leader for Butler in three pointers, total points (330) and assists (73).
Prior to Butler, McLimore played at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). There she was a two time All-Horizon League Second Team and two time All-Defensive team selection while also making the Horizon League All-Tournament team. She was ranked 6th in the country from the free throw line shooting 92.6%. She ranked second on the team in scoring with 13 points per game and led the team in assists completing 77 in the season. She was on the Fall and Spring Academic list twice at IUPUI.
McLimore also attended DePaul for a year where she averaged 2 points per game and 1.3 rebounds per game and was selected for the Big East All-Academic Team.
